About ONE-K Wheels

Evolime GmbH markets ultralight wheels for road bikes and gravel bikes under the ONE-K brand. The company is a spin-off of the Leibniz Institute for Composite Materials at RPTU in Kaiserslautern and is based on the patented CompoSpoke technology: a wet winding process in which fibers are automatically wound onto molded parts and simultaneously formed into wheel structures. This enables monolithic spoke wheels made of fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) to be produced from a single continuous fiber band with zero waste and cost efficiency. The wheels are developed and produced in Germany and assembled by hand with carbon rims and hubs. In addition to cycling, the technology is applicable to machine elements, wind power technology and conveying technology; the company also offers technology and development consulting for lightweight construction solutions.
