About DÖRKEN

Ewald Dörken AG, headquartered in Herdecke (North Rhine-Westphalia), is a family company founded in 1892 that manufactures coating and membrane systems. The group is divided into the business units DÖRKEN Coatings (paints, coatings, tinting systems as well as micro-layer corrosion protection systems based on zinc flake, chromium(VI)-free) and DÖRKEN Membrans (roof and façade membranes, foundation wall protection and drainage systems of the DELTA® brand). Production includes, among other things, zinc flake coating of steel and metal components with layer thicknesses of 8–12 µm, manufacture of solvent- and water-based construction paints for substrates such as zinc, aluminium, copper, PVC and wood, as well as production of spun nonwovens using BiCo fibre technology in Hagen-Vorhalle. Since the acquisition of the Wischemann Group (2021), a third business unit exists as a competence centre for thermoformable plastic molded parts. Customer industries include automotive, wind energy, electrical industry, construction, aviation as well as construction machinery and window manufacturing; the products are distributed via a network of more than 200 licensed contract coaters worldwide, and Dörken MKS systems are represented in over 150 countries.
