About us

KRAFT Apparatebau is a valve company founded in 1930 in Wuppertal that manufactures shut-off butterfly valves, throttle butterfly valves, gate valves and customer-specific special valves. The products serve the safe control of gaseous, liquid and solid substances – from bulk materials to highly explosive media – and are developed from prototype construction through to series production. Manufacturing takes place at the Wuppertal site; the development of shut-off valves was advanced in-house and initially brought to series maturity on silo vehicles and later in the chemical industry. Customers include plant engineering and process technology, the chemical industry, railcar construction, heating power plants, shipbuilding, silo and tank vehicle construction, as well as the pharmaceutical and food industries. For use in the Customs Union (Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan), EAC certificates were obtained and first projects implemented.

History

1930
Founded as a small tool factory for woodworking (KRAFT Apparatebau).
First patents for veterinary tongs and instruments; construction of compressor systems for silo vehicles.
Development of the first shut-off valves to series maturity, initially on silo vehicles, later in the chemical industry.
Acquisition of the EAC TR-ZU certificate for the Customs Union (Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan) and implementation of first projects.
