About Excellence Coatings
Excellence Coatings GmbH is a spin-off of Paderborn University founded in 2022, specializing in the development and distribution of PFAS-free easy-to-clean, tape-release and anti-graffiti coatings as well as silicone-based surface additives. The products Aversil 936 (for EB coatings) as well as Aversil 824 and Aversil 412 (for UV coatings) create durable easy-to-clean effects, reduce surface tension and offer marker resistance. In addition to its standard products, the company offers custom research and development, including PFAS replacement solutions and radiation-curable, bio-based coating prototypes, for example for the furniture industry. The company uses the laboratories of Paderborn University and is based in the Start-up Accelerator TecUP in the Paderborn Technology Park. It is part of the Grüne Gründungen.NRW program (EFRE/JTF, State of NRW) as well as the Chemstars NRW program of the chemical industry.

UV-curing coatings
Additives Aversil 824 and 412 lower the surface tension and create a durable easy-to-clean effect in UV coatings.
EB coatings (electron beam curing)
Aversil 936 is a silicone-based additive for EB coatings with easy-to-clean, tape-release and anti-graffiti effects.
Bio-based raw materials
In the Biobased Surfaces project, a radiation-curable coating prototype with a high bio-based carbon content is being developed.
Silicone (surface additives)
Silicone-based polymers form the basis of the Aversil additive series.
