About the Association

The Export-Union für Milchprodukte e. V. is the professional association of German export dairies and traders in milk and dairy products, based in Berlin. Founded in 1968 under President Horst Ziegenhain, the association has around 85 member companies from Germany and neighbouring EU countries; more than 90 percent of German milk exports are carried out by its members. The association itself is neither a manufacturer nor a trader, but represents the interests of export-oriented companies in the dairy industry and dairy wholesale. Its head office is located at Jägerstraße 51 in the Haus der Milch in Berlin. Its services include forwarding export enquiries to member dairies, advisory services on foreign trade, customs and veterinary matters, facilitation of business contacts, and semi-annual export and import statistics. Members also have access to an internal members' area with the EXU app (news, country information).
