About us
F. & M. Lautenschläger GmbH & Co. KG is a medium-sized, owner-managed manufacturer of disinfection and sterilization systems based in Cologne. Founded in 1888 by Mathias Lautenschläger, the company developed the world's first laundry sterilizer in 1887/88 and today manufactures steam sterilizers (autoclaves), steam disinfectors, clean steam generators, test sterilizers as well as full demineralization water systems for medical, laboratory, pharmaceutical and industrial applications. The systems operate with saturated steam, steam-air mixtures and hot-water sprinkling and sterilize solid, porous and liquid goods, including herbs and spices. Components such as mixed-bed ion-exchange cartridges are made of stainless steel. At the headquarters in Cologne-Rodenkirchen, development, production, service and project management are united under one roof; service, maintenance, validation and training support the systems throughout their entire life cycle. The systems are also deployed internationally, for example in hospitals.
