About FABEMA

FABEMA GmbH, founded in 1972, is a manufacturer of mobile traffic signal systems and road safety products headquartered in Kürten in the Bergisches Land region. The company develops and produces portable signal systems such as the EURO 2000 universal signal system, the KOMET version and the FABEMA SECURION product family – the first mobile complete system certified by TÜV Rheinland with safety verification according to DIN EN 50556, DIN VDE 0832 and NEN 3384. The portfolio includes cable-operated and radio-controlled systems for direction changes, junction and large intersection signalization, pedestrian traffic signals, multifunctional control units (FMC-St, FMC-N) as well as special systems for fire station exits, multi-storey car parks, underground garages, height measurements and practice traffic lights. The offering is complemented by audio-tactile systems (AUTA, BLINA) for blind and visually impaired people, rental services, road safety measures including planning and installation, maintenance and repair with original spare parts, as well as training courses and signal-technical acceptance testing according to RiLSA and DIN VDE 0832-100. In addition to the domestic business, export is a fundamental activity. Alongside its headquarters, the company operates a service base in Cologne and a branch office in Kahla, Thuringia.

The management system is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 (Normec VQZ, registration number 11988-3018). FABEMA SECURION is the first mobile complete system certified by TÜV Rheinland with safety verification; electrical safety tests and signal-technical acceptance testing are carried out according to RiLSA and DIN VDE 0832-100.

   Foundation of FABEMA Manfred Berghaus e.K. by Heike & Manfred Berghaus on the Domberg in Kürten; production of the first cable-operated and radio-controlled traffic signal systems of types MBK, MBF, MBA

2. 1980

   Relocation to Hähn/Kürten, today's headquarters

   First mobile control unit FMC-St (up to 16 signal transmitters)
