About Fachstahl
Fachstahl is a steel trading company based in Tutzing, Bavaria, that distributes precision steel through its own online shop. The range includes precision flat steel, bright steel round, P-plates and EDM blocks, supplemented by stainless steel, special materials and non-ferrous metals; all grades and shapes can be sourced. Machining includes sawing, fine milling, grinding and CNC machining: cuts are possible up to 2,000 × 1,000 mm, and precision flat steel up to 505 mm in width is supplied finely milled. Precision flat steel is offered with tolerances of 0/+0.20 mm (thickness) and 0/+0.40 mm (width) and a surface roughness of maximum 3.2 µm. Bright steel made of 1.2312 is supplied heat-treated, ground and polished to ISO h8 (DIN EN 10278); P-plates are normalized or heat-treated, longitudinally ground and finely milled. Goods are packed in rust-protected VCI paper and picked for order. Customers come from the automotive industry, machining industry, mechanical engineering, medical technology, toolmaking as well as plant and equipment engineering.

1.1730 – Precision steel
Precision steel as flat material with and without machining allowance as well as P-plates/EDM blocks, normalized to max. 190 HB.
1.2083 – Precision steel
Stainless steel as precision flat steel, pre-ground or finely milled with a surface roughness of max. 3.2 µm.
1.2312 – Precision steel
Heat-treated steel (RM 950–1050 N/mm², approx. 28.5–32.0 HRC) as bright steel round ground and polished to ISO h8 as well as precision flat steel and P-plates.
