Fagerhult – Light since 1945
Fagerhults Belysning AB is a Swedish luminaire manufacturer headquartered in Fagerhult (municipality of Habo), founded in 1945 by Bertil Svensson. The company develops and produces LED lighting solutions for office, education, retail, healthcare and outdoor lighting. Manufacturing takes place at the main plant in Fagerhult, including extrusion of aluminium profiles, sheet metal working, painting, in-house production of LED boards and sensors, and luminaire assembly. Since late 2024, recycled aluminium profiles with 75% post-consumer content have been used; materials such as polycarbonate, solid board and wood are also processed. An in-house photometric testing laboratory has been certified as an Intertek Customer Testing Facility since 1993. The company belongs to the Fagerhult Group, employs around 900 staff and sells through its own sales companies in twelve European markets as well as partners in additional countries.

Materials and Processes
Aluminium (extruded, recycled)
Since late 2024, most aluminium profiles have been extruded from recycled aluminium with 75% post-consumer content, including for Notor, Fjord and Multilume.
Steel (sheet)
Steel sheet is punched and machined; residual sheet is used, among other things, as luminaire back panels.
Polycarbonate (ISCC-certified, partly bio-based)
Used in plastic luminaires as an alternative to fossil-based plastics.
Wood (pine plywood, birch veneer)
Renewable material, used among other things in the Kvisten luminaire.
Solid Board (cardboard, up to 65% recycled)
Material of the Multilume Re:Think luminaire as a substitute for sheet metal.
Brass
Used for wire tensioners in the Kvisten luminaire.
