About Faire Kohle

Faire Kohle GmbH, based in Gladbeck, produces, imports and exports barbecue charcoal made from coconut half shells as well as other coconut-based products and matching accessories. The charcoal is produced in the Philippines under fair working conditions with child labour excluded. The raw material is the coconut shell, a CO2-neutral waste product of coconut processing, which is processed into charcoal and packaged directly on site. The CO2 emissions generated by transport to Germany are offset through a payment to the Klimakollete climate initiative. The charcoal is sold via the company's own online shop as well as brick-and-mortar retail; buyers include, among others, Pullendreher in Iserlohn. The company was founded in 2021 and has 2–10 employees.
