About Fakir Hausgeräte
Fakir Hausgeräte GmbH is a manufacturer of household appliances headquartered in Vaihingen an der Enz (Baden-Württemberg). Founded in 1933 by Wilhelm Kicherer in Mühlacker – the name Fakir is an acronym for "Familie Kicherer" (Kicherer family) – the company began with the production of floor cleaning appliances and expanded its portfolio to include electric heating appliances in the 1950s. Today's range includes upright vacuum cleaners, bagless cordless hand-held and stick vacuum cleaners with mopping function, robot vacuum cleaners, fan heaters, fans and air conditioners, air purifiers, steam and stain cleaners, steam irons, and small kitchen appliances such as air fryers, kettles and capsule coffee machines. According to the company, the appliances are developed and tested in Germany ("Designed, tested and approved in Germany"); the production sites of owner Saruhan in Çorlu (Turkey) are integrated into the manufacturing chain. The appliances are sold nationwide through specialist retail and the company's own online shop; there are 60 representations worldwide. Since the late 2000s, the company has been wholly owned by the Saruhan owner family.
