About FAMAG

FAMAG is a tool factory founded in 1862 and based in Remscheid. The company manufactures wood drills, including the well-known Bormax® Forstner bit and the Dreischneider, as well as milling and router tools such as sculpture cutters and router bits. The product range is complemented by drill stands including accessories. The tools are designed for use in a wide variety of wood materials – from solid woods such as oak, beech, ash and tropical hardwoods to panel materials such as chipboard, MDF, HDF, OSB and plywood, through to glulam and Kerto-Q. The company serves professionals in woodworking, carpentry and joinery trades as well as the furniture and tool industries. At the Remscheid site, administration and tool production are combined; sales are handled both in Germany and in the United Kingdom, accompanied by presence at trade fairs such as the Harrogate Woodworking Show.
