About Famar
The Famar Group has been a manufacturer of special-purpose machine tools for the machining of mechanical components since 1973. Famar S.r.l. in Avigliana (Piedmont, Italy) produces high-performance CNC vertical turning machines (pick-up turning machines, for which the company holds a global patent) in single-spindle and twin-spindle versions. The group also comprises Fausto Marinello S.r.l. with a plant of over 12,000 m² in Sant'Ambrogio for modular, custom-built CNC machining centers, as well as Famar Automation, which automates complete production processes from raw part to finished component, including feeding and conveyor systems and robot islands. All machines are configured based on the component to be manufactured by the customer, the production volume and the required machining times. Customers come from the automotive, commercial vehicle, aerospace, agricultural and construction machinery, rolling bearing, defense, and oil and gas industries. Famar Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH in Karlsruhe serves the German, Austrian and Swiss markets and, together with Avigliana, handles maintenance and spare parts supply; Famar Machinery Ltd in Shanghai serves the Asian market.
