About Famas Technology
Famas Technology specializes in high-performance additives for demanding plastics applications, in particular HFFR cables (halogen-free flame-retardant cables) and highly filled compounds. The portfolio comprises the FamaSil™ product range of coupling agents, crosslinkers and processing aids, which are supplied as high-purity dry blends. The blends improve wetting and adhesion to hard-to-wet fillers such as aluminum hydroxide (ATH) and magnesium hydroxide (MDH), increase tensile strength and elongation at break, and support stable char formation as well as reduced smoke emissions. Since 2016, the company has focused entirely on application innovation. Production takes place in a specialized closed-loop process at the D.O.G. Chemie plant in northern Germany, enabling maximum precision, easy handling and efficient processing at the customer's site.
