About the Family Brewery Ketterer
The family brewery M. Ketterer was founded in 1877 in Hornberg in the Black Forest and is today run in its fourth generation by Michael, Anke and Philipp Ketterer. At the headquarters in Hornberg, beers are produced ranging from the semi-dry Ketterer Pils to the roasted-malt Black Forest Stout. The value chain covers the brewhouse, fermentation and storage cellars, and the company's own filling operation on modern equipment. The brewery sources its brewing water from its own mineral water spring, Hornberger Lebensquell, from a historic spring tunnel. The beers have won numerous awards; the brewery follows the principle of Slow Brewing with long maturation periods and sources raw materials in direct contact with barley and hop farmers. The market is Germany.
