Farben Koch GmbH is a mid-sized manufacturer of architectural coatings based in Ansbach. The product range includes lime, silicate, dispersion and silicone resin paints as well as primers, paste-like interior and exterior renders and fillers for the professional trade in the painting and plastering sector and the construction industry. The products are produced in aqueous and paste form based on in-house development; the focus is on mineral paints and renders based on lime and silicate, characterised by healthy living, sustainability and environmental compatibility. Many products carry the Blue Angel eco-label. In the company's own development laboratory, the portfolio is continuously developed further, including low-emission systems. The colouristics sites in Ansbach and Ettlingen/Malsch produce custom colour shades for all products using computer-controlled colour measuring devices and dosing systems. In 2015, administration buildings with a development laboratory, a warehouse with colouristics as well as new machine, filling and silo technology in production were built. Since 2011, the company has belonged to Zahner Holding and thus to the GIMA Group.

Founded by Henning Koch in Cadolzburg as a paint and lacquer manufacturer for US specification paints with an attached paint store.
- 1980
Relocation of the company headquarters to Ansbach with 4 employees at the time; focus on self-developed, low-emission architectural coatings.
- 2011
Acquisition by Zahner Holding; company of the GIMA Group. Led by Managing Director Sabine Steeger and authorised signatory Uto Lummer.
