About us
Faromed GmbH Medizintechnik, based in Berlin (Saalmannstraße 9, 13403), develops, produces, assembles and distributes surgical instruments, medical devices and replacement lamps as well as precision mechanics components, manufactured in its own CNC production. The company's roots date back to 1920, when Kurt EFFNER in Berlin produced hand-held diagnostic instruments, instruments for anaesthesia, surgery and proctology as well as miniature incandescent lamps; as Faromed GmbH, the company has existed for more than 30 years. Production takes place at the headquarters in Berlin – in the heart of Europe – using state-of-the-art technologies. The product range includes, among other things, cordless LED headlights with lithium-ion battery technology for medical applications as well as an extensive replacement lamp programme. Customers include clinics and hospitals, medical practices, veterinarians and distributors of medical supplies; deliveries are made worldwide to over 50 countries. The quality management system is certified to DIN EN ISO 13485:2021.
