About us
Fassbinderei Schön GmbH is an Austrian company with origins dating back to 1933 that manufactures wooden barrels and fermentation vats using traditional craftsmanship. The product range includes wine barrels in sizes from 500 to 1000 liters, fermentation vats from 1000 liters, barrique barrels from 225 to 500 liters, and distillate barrels from 5 to 200 liters. The barrels are used for the fermentation and maturation of red and white wines as well as for vinegar and spirits storage. The material used is wood, processed in traditional cooperage. In addition, the company advises its customers on product selection and conducts ongoing research projects that enable a better understanding of the processes taking place inside wooden barrels during wine maturation.
