About Favored Tech
Favored Tech is a provider of PECVD-based (Plasma-enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) nano-coating solutions for electronics, founded in 2016 by James Zong in Wuxi (China). The coating thicknesses range from 10 nm to 10 µm and protect PCBA, sensors, modules and finished devices against water (IPX2 to IPX8), salt water, sweat, moisture, sulfur and corrosion. The company is fully vertically integrated: it develops, manufactures and services its own coating equipment (over 450 machines in the field, patented Planetary Rotation System) as well as its own coating materials such as the halogen-free, PFOA/PFOS-free FT-Nano Green family. In addition to its own contract coating centers in Wuxi, Shenzhen and Bac Ninh (Vietnam), equipment is installed at more than 50 ODM/CM sites in China, Vietnam, India, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas; over 5 million units are coated worldwide every day. Its main markets are consumer electronics (smartphones, tablets, e-readers, audio/wearables), automotive, industrial, healthcare as well as drones, servers and IoT. Plasma-enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition
Nanocoating process at 40 °C with coating thicknesses from 10 nm to 10 µm, negligible impact on conductivity, heat dissipation and signal transmission.
FT-Nano Green 1008 (nano-polymer)
Halogen-free, PFOA/PFOS-free corrosion protection coating (RoHS, REACH, WEEE compliant) with protection against salt water and sweat.
Water protection IPX2–IPX8
The coating enables passing IPX tests up to IPX8 as well as salt spray and 85/85 humidity tests without design changes.
