FBGS is a developer and manufacturer of customized fiber-optic sensor components and complete solutions, founded in 2005 and based in Belgium and Germany. The company manufactures high-quality FBG sensor components such as Draw Tower Gratings (DTG®), which are produced during the fiber drawing process prior to application of the primary coating, FemtoSecond Gratings (FSG®) via through-the-coating laser inscription with ultrashort laser pulses, and All Grating Fiber (AGF®) with closely spaced, weakly reflecting gratings (R < 0.1%). The material basis is optical glass fiber; sensors can also be embedded in composites. The components are complemented by interrogators (measurement instruments), sensing software, and turnkey solutions for strain, pressure, temperature, shape, and force measurement.
