FBW Frischbetonwerk GmbH & Co. KG operates a concrete plant in Reutlingen at the Südbahnhof and produces ready-mixed concrete to demand-based mix designs for construction companies and private end consumers. In addition to conventional concrete made from locally sourced raw materials—sand, gravel, water and cement—the plant produces recycled-aggregate concrete, in which recycled aggregates from construction rubble and crushed concrete are used to reduce demand for primary raw materials. Delivery is by truck mixer; a telescopic conveyor belt with a 360-degree swivel discharge chute allows concrete and bulk materials to be placed without elaborate manoeuvring, and concrete pumps are available to supplement this. The product range also includes aggregates such as sand, gravel, chippings and crushed stone as well as cement-bound building materials such as plant-mixed fresh mortar, screed and hydraulically bound base courses. The plant also accepts old concrete (maximum edge length 80 cm) and uncontaminated excavated soil under Z0/BM0 in its approved interim storage facility and processes residual concrete. A calibrated weighbridge ensures weight-accurate billing via delivery note and invoice.
