fdu GmbH & Co. KG, based in Georgsmarienhütte near Osnabrück, is a manufacturer of precast concrete elements for building construction. The product range comprises precast floor slabs (filigree slabs), precast walls/double walls consisting of two precast concrete shells with lattice girders, thermal walls, hollow-core slabs as well as solid precast elements such as staircases, stair steps, balconies, parapets, columns, beams and sills. The precast products are manufactured as reinforced-concrete semi-finished parts and completed on site with in-situ concrete, resulting in monolithic components. Production is automated across around 30 plants, with each element individually adapted to customer requirements – including factory installation of built-in parts such as sockets, Isokörb® insulation baskets, windows and lighting fixtures. With around 750 employees, the company supplies customers throughout Germany as well as in Luxembourg and France.
