About febana
Since 1959, febana Feinmechanische Bauelemente GmbH has been developing and manufacturing electromechanical hybrid assemblies, technical plastic parts, complex stamped-bent parts as well as cable systems and welded assemblies in Sömmerda (Thuringia). The in-house production depth ranges from design services and toolmaking through to series production: prototypes and product-specific manufacturing equipment are produced in toolmaking, while prototype construction uses 3D printing, stereolithography, laser sintering and vacuum casting. The stamping technology includes high-speed stamping presses with 25 to 100 tonnes of press force for miniaturized contact parts and leadframes up to mass production. In plastics engineering, small and large series are produced, including multi-component injection molding (LSR, TPE), core-pull processes, insert technology and stamped-bent technology within the injection molding tool. Connections are secured by overmolding of wires and cable assembly. The company is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016, offers ESD protection concepts in accordance with DIN EN 61340-5-1 and supplies industries such as automotive, industrial equipment, household appliances, medical technology, radio technology and device manufacturing. Since 2012, febana has been part of the febana Group together with SF Schalter GmbH and MICROSTEP GmbH.
