Competence in Wire and Sheet Metal Forming

Federnwerk Franz-Josef Höppe GmbH is a family business founded in 1922, now in its fourth generation, headquartered in Menden (Sauerland). The company manufactures technical wire and strip springs (compression, extension, torsion (double-torsion), leaf and contact springs), bent wire parts, stamped and stamped-bent parts, laser and press-brake parts, busbars/current rails for e-mobility as well as complete assemblies. Materials include spring steel wire, steel strip, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals such as bronze, copper, titanium and beryllium as well as aluminium and copper alloys. The value chain includes in-house toolmaking with wire and die-sink EDM, milling and grinding, an in-house hardening shop, vibratory finishing, surface treatment in cooperation with specialist partners and assembly of components by screw fastening, clinching, spot welding, soldering, riveting and thread forming. Production ranges from one-off manufacturing and prototypes to series and high-volume production on CNC-controlled machines. Customers include, among others, the furniture and electrical industries as well as e-mobility.
