About Feiner Betonwerk
Feiner Betonwerk GmbH & Co. KG is a family-run manufacturer of concrete stone, now in its third generation since 1953, based in Furth im Wald in the Bavarian Forest. The company produces terrace slabs, step covers for tread and angle steps as well as slabs for walkways, pool surrounds and heavily used public and traffic areas. Production comprises computer-controlled dosing and mixing of domestic granite grit (fine grit up to 2 mm), sand, cement and inorganic colour pigments, pressing with 600 tonnes of pressing force into formats up to 600 x 800 mm, robot-assisted handling of the blanks, and curing in sensor-controlled drying chambers. A finishing process with up to 24 processing steps gives the slabs their final surface properties. Using a digital printing system modelled on the Italian ceramics industry (360 dpi), natural stone and wood looks as well as individual motifs, photos and logos are applied. Proprietary surface systems such as the Feiner Hydro Coating System and Feiner Impregnation protect the products. Distribution is via building material retailers as well as factory-direct delivery, complemented by a sample garden with over 600 m² of exhibition space.

Materials and Processes
Concrete stone
Cast stone made from a mixture of natural stone, sand and cement for terrace slabs, steps and outdoor surface coverings
Fine granite grit (domestic granite grit up to 2 mm)
Fine natural stone grit as the visible layer of the Effektiv line for a homogeneous surface
Cement and sand
Binder and filler components of the concrete stone
Inorganic colour pigments (iron oxide, cobalt)
Extremely colour-stable pigments for the digital printing images of the Wood, Stone and Creative lines
Feiner Hydro Coating System
Vapour-permeable, silk-matte coating with hydrophobization of both concrete layers for dirt-repellent, easy-care surfaces
Feiner Impregnation
Penetrating hydrophobization within the concrete layers with a natural surface and R11 slip resistance
Digital printing (360 dpi)
Ceramics industry technology for transferring wood, natural stone and individualized motifs onto concrete stone slabs
Blasting/fine-blasted surface treatment
Surface finish with up to 24 processing steps for the structure and appearance of the slabs
Drying chamber curing
Curing of the blanks under constant, sensor-monitored temperature and humidity conditions
