Precision Mechanical Manufactory from the Ore Mountains
Feingerätebau K. Fischer GmbH is a precision mechanical manufactory based in Drebach in the Ore Mountains (Saxony) and the manufacturer of the traditional brand BARIGO. Established in 1945 by Kurt Fischer, the company exclusively produces analog measuring instruments at the Drebach location: barometers, thermometers, hygrometers, climate meters, clinometers (angle measurers), barographs, marine chronometers, and combined weather stations. Manufacturing is carried out using traditional handcraft in proprietary workshops, combining precision mechanical engineering with artisanal assembly. The housings are traditionally made of brass, chromed brass, stainless steel, or wood; mechanical as well as modern quartz and radio-controlled movements are installed. The products cater to boat and yacht owners, outdoor enthusiasts, and residential customers (living/weather stations). Sales are handled directly through the company's online shop, via dealers, and worldwide; shipping within Germany is free of charge.
