Design, Engineering & Composite Manufacturing

FELLERyachting is a design and manufacturing company founded in 2008 by certified designer and boatbuilder Uwe Feller, with office, engineering and workshop facilities in Witten. The company develops technical products from initial visualization through CAD design to design models, functional prototypes as well as pre-series and small-series production. Its core competence is composite lightweight construction with over 15 years of experience: components made of glass and carbon fiber reinforced plastics with epoxy resin are manufactured using computer- and robot-assisted processes as well as hand lay-up and infusion techniques, complemented by mold making, CNC machining and joinery. Focus areas are ship and boatbuilding with hydrodynamics, hydrostatics and model testing, propulsion and drive systems, and special components such as buoyancy bodies for deep-sea applications and floats and wings for wave energy systems. Under the name Innovationswerkstatt.ruhr, FELLERyachting has been operating an open-innovation technology carrier with a co-working space since 2020. Reference projects are the research vessels “Ella” (2023) and the 15 m long fully electric catamaran “Nova” (2025) for the University of Duisburg-Essen.
