About Felsenau Brewery
The Felsenau Brewery is the oldest independent brewery in the city of Bern and has been located in the Felsenau quarter directly on the Aare river since 1881. There, the company brews its capital beers by hand according to traditional recipes using its own water, barley malt, hops, wheat and yeast. The range includes, among others, Spezial Hell, Zwickelbier, Spezial Dunkel, Lager Hell, Hefeweizen, non-alcoholic beer as well as seasonal specialties such as Frübi and Fest Bock. In addition to beer production, the brewery produces a twice-distilled beer brandy (SWAF) using the traditional fruit brandy production method. Products are filled in one-way and returnable swing-top bottles (33/50 cl), cans as well as in barrels and KEGs (5–30 liters). Direct sales from the brewery and brewery tours complement the offering.
