About Fencyboy
Fencyboy GmbH develops and distributes a LoRaWAN-based IoT sensor for real-time monitoring of electric fences. The sensor measures the voltage at the fence directly (e.g. 8500 V) via a connection to the fence wire and to an grounding rod and transmits the values wirelessly to central gateways. Multiple sensors along a fence enable the localization of faults such as cut wires, since the voltage on separated segments drops to 0 V. The evaluation is carried out via live dashboards as well as historical data analyses, including the detection of vegetation growth along the fence. Thanks to LoRaWAN, operation is also possible in remote areas; the power supply comes from batteries with a lifespan of more than three years or from solar power. The company, based in Zurich, serves agriculture and animal husbandry.
