About FERMAT
FERMAT CZ, s.r.o. is a Czech manufacturer of horizontal boring mills. The company was founded in 1990 by Jiří Ferenc and Mr Matys; the company name was formed from the founders' surnames. The product portfolio includes table-type machines (e.g. WFT 13, WFC 10) for workpieces up to 50 t, floor-type machines for workpieces up to 100 t, gantry/bridge-type machines as well as 5-axis multitask gantry centres and universal cylindrical grinding machines. The offering is complemented by accessories such as milling, facing and drilling heads, stock machines with short delivery times, and services: maintenance, machine overhaul, spare parts, helpline with remote diagnostics, training, turnkey projects and production optimisation. Customers come, among others, from mechanical engineering and wind energy; R&D projects on special machines and the CUAS system against drones were funded with EU funds. Research partners are Brno University of Technology, the Czech Technical University in Prague and Palacký University Olomouc.
