About Ferrini SA

Ferrini SA Officina Meccanica is a precision mechanics company founded in 1986 and based in Avegno in Ticino (Switzerland). The company manufactures medium to complex-shaped mechanical components as individual parts and assemblies – from prototypes and small series to large lots with flow deliveries, long-term scheduling or real-time Kanban control. The value chain includes project development with modern CAD-3D and CAD-CAM systems (programming with hyperMILL), CNC turning, milling, grinding, laser marking, as well as the assembly of semi-finished products and apparatus, including procurement of raw materials and mechanical, electromechanical or electronic components. Surface treatments are offered via external partners. Customers come from, among others, the machinery industry, electronics, the energy and automotive sectors, and medical and dental technology; since 2016 the contract manufacturing of implantable mechanical devices for orthopaedic surgery has been certified to EN ISO 13485. Communication takes place in Italian, German, French and English; at the Avegno site, a photovoltaic system generates energy for self-consumption.
