FES Sensor Technology GmbH is a specialized technology company based in Krefeld focused on the development and small-series production of hydrogen sensors. The company was founded in 2016 by Prof. Dr. Klaus Schierbaum, who brings over 40 years of experience in sensor research and development. The portfolio includes standard and custom sensor solutions, consulting and feasibility studies, prototyping including testing and validation, as well as support with production transfer and system integration. The sensors are characterized by maintenance-free operation, resistance to moisture and siloxanes, fast reversible response times, and long-term stable, linear calibration curves. Since 2020 there has been a partnership with Tesla Blatná a.s. as manufacturing partner for sensor elements, and since 2021 with ALDERS electronic GmbH as sales partner for Europe and beyond. In-house production with quality control at the Krefeld site enables flexibility and individual customization, particularly for the hydrogen economy, industrial processes, research and safety-critical environments.
