About FEV eDLP GmbH
FEV eDLP GmbH in Sandersdorf-Brehna (greater Leipzig area) is a testing centre specialising in battery development and testing and is part of the FEV Group. Across an area of around 15,000 m², almost 60 modern test benches and facilities are available for battery cells, modules and high-voltage packs as well as components of the electric powertrain of passenger cars and trucks. The portfolio covers performance and electrical testing (endurance, ageing, capacity, resistance and efficiency tests), safety and abuse testing (crush, thermal propagation, short circuit, fire resistance), environmental and mechanical testing (vibration, climate, corrosion, IP classes, altitude simulation, UN 38.3) as well as battery teardown and benchmarking. The one-stop-shop approach reduces transport between test sites and enables time savings of up to 30%. Testing operations run around the clock 365 days a year and are supported by more than 100 employees. The centre is accredited for most test cases in accordance with ECE R100 and UN 38.3 and serves customers from the automotive, non-road applications, aviation and stationary energy storage sectors.
