FGB: Fertigungsgerätebau Adolf Steinbach GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1971 and has been realizing customer-specific solutions in special-purpose machinery construction ever since. The company develops and manufactures special machines for machining, measurement, testing and transport of components as well as test stands and test components, direct drives, eddy-current testing systems and assembly technology from manual workstations to fully automated assembly lines. All competencies required for turnkey systems – design/CAD, manufacturing, assembly, control cabinet construction and software development – are bundled in-house. In addition, FGB offers contract manufacturing with CNC turning, CNC milling, cylindrical, surface and jig grinding, EDM and deep-hole drilling as well as assembly work. Customers include the automotive and supply industry, the rolling bearing, paper, steel, glass and plastics industries as well as defence technology. The company is headquartered in Salz near Bad Neustadt an der Saale; the Thuringian branch FGB Präzisionsmaschinenbau Suhl complements the machine fleet with 5-axis and gantry milling machines, boring mills and deep-hole drilling centers.
