About fiberior
fiberior is a startup founded in 2024 and based in Neustadt an der Weinstraße, specializing in the development and production of continuous fiber-reinforced thermoplastics (UD tapes). Its range of services covers custom material development from in-house production, load-path-oriented component design with characterization and simulation, tooling and prototype development, and the scaling and validation of industrial manufacturing processes. The centerpiece of production is a revamped calendering unit for tape manufacturing; microscopy and mechanical material testing are used for quality assurance. A key focus is the development of detachable mechanical joining techniques for fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) tubes subject to internal pressure, which require no welding, adhesive bonding, or metallic fittings. Target industries include hydrogen transport and storage, fiber-composite lightweight construction, and industrial piping technology. To enable material testing, fiberior offers a UD tape starter package including technical consultation and up to 10 kg of material.
