About fibionic
fibionic GmbH, founded in 2021, is a service and production company located in Götzens near Innsbruck, specializing in the optimized design and manufacture of continuous fiber-reinforced composites made from carbon, glass and natural fibers with a thermoplastic matrix for mechanically loaded structures. Following the example of nature (bionics), reinforcement material is placed precisely where it is needed along the load path. The range of services includes FE-based simulation and topology or fiber architecture optimization, rapid prototyping with robot-assisted 2D fiber placement, tool-free consolidation and membrane-assisted forming, as well as series production of bionically optimized semi-finished products using the patented FFP technology (fibionic fiber placement) at volumes of 500 to 1,000,000 units per year and cycle times under one minute. The offering is rounded out by project management through to series launch, licensing of the production technology, and arrangement of downstream processing (injection molding, foaming, bonding, thermoforming) via partners. Customers come from sporting goods, automotive, aerospace, medical technology, robotics and consumer goods.
