About Fibrolux

Fibrolux is a manufacturer of GRP profiles (glass-fibre-reinforced plastic), gratings, panels as well as carbon profiles, panels and tubes, based in Hofheim. Since 1979, standard profiles, custom special profiles made to customer drawings and complete assemblies have been developed and produced there – already in smaller quantities. Production is carried out using the pultrusion process; afterwards, Fibrolux handles cutting, drilling, milling and pre-assembly, and delivers ready to install. The engineering team accompanies projects from requirements analysis through profile and resin selection to design for manufacturability. GRP impresses with high strength, low weight, corrosion resistance and electrical insulation, especially in corrosive or electrically sensitive environments. Customers come from the chemical industry, infrastructure, water management, energy and electrical engineering; reference projects are in use worldwide, including Jubail (300 t), Swanbank (200 t), Riga (140 t) and Schwarzheide (126 t).

Materials & Processes

GFK

Glass-fibre-reinforced plastic (pultrusion)

Corrosion-resistant, electrically insulating and at the same time lightweight material for profiles, gratings, panels and constructions in aggressive environments.

CFK

Carbon (CFRP)

High-strength fibre composite material for profiles, panels and tubes with the highest demands on stiffness and weight.

PUL

Pultrusion

Continuous pulling process for the production of fibre-reinforced profiles with constant cross-section, also as special profiles made to drawing.
