About FIEDLER GLAS DESIGN
FIEDLER GLAS DESIGN is an artisanal family business founded in 1978 by Hans-Peter Fiedler, graduate engineer in glass technology, in Schmiedefeld (Thuringia), and has since specialized in the refinement of flat glass. Today the company is led by Bernd Fiedler, master craftsman in glass refinement. The production range includes all-glass doors, glass partitions, sliding doors, glass showers and room dividers as well as interior and insulating glazing and building-integrated architectural glass objects. The refinement is carried out entirely by hand, among other things through freehand diamond engraving, sandblasting matting and deep sandblasting, combination grinding techniques, color design with tinted glass resin, traditional lead glazing and lead ornamentation, as well as fusing glass applications that are thermally formed at 800 °C in a special kiln. Materials are flat glass, Opti White glass, safety glass and fusing glass, supplemented by stainless steel constructions and lead profiles. Customers include architects, building owners, public institutions, hotels and clinics as well as private end consumers. Documented reference projects range from the Neuhaus am Rennweg swimming pool to Conakry Airport (Guinea) to the MEDINOS clinic Neuhaus am Rennweg.

Quality
Every piece of glass is made purely by hand; freehand diamond engraving requires the highest precision and makes structures possible that cannot be achieved with laser engraving. No pane of glass is like another; every motif is executed as a unique piece with individual character.
