About Fietz Polychromos

Fietz Polychromos GmbH specializes in the coloration of fluoropolymers and high-temperature thermoplastics. The product range includes color concentrates (masterbatches) for PFA, MFA, FEP, ETFE, ECTFE, PVDF, THV and PEEK, compounds with fillers such as glass or carbon fiber, as well as the LiquidC liquid pigments for coloring paste/emulsion PTFE. With its LaserWrite technology, the company offers laser-markable color compounds for permanent marking with Nd:YAG lasers. Customer-specific color and additive solutions are developed as Custom Made Products. The products are used primarily in the cable industry as well as in chemicals, food and semiconductor industries, automotive, aerospace engineering, solar and mobile communications technology, and construction. Since 2015 the company has been part of the Fietz Group. It is located in Burscheid and was founded in 2008 in Geilenkirchen.

Materials & Products

PFA

Perfluoroalkoxy

Thermoplastically processable perfluorinated high-temperature fluoropolymer with a melting point of approx. 305 °C.

MFA

Modified fluoroalkoxy

Perfluoroalkoxy polymer with melting points of 265 to 285 °C.

FEP

Polyfluoroethylene propylene

Thermoplastically processable copolymer with properties comparable to PTFE in chemical contact and as an electrical insulator.

ETFE

Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene

Semi-crystalline copolymer with a melting point of approx. 255 °C and improved mechanical properties compared to PTFE.

ECTFE

Ethylene chlorotrifluoroethylene

Fluorine copolymer with lower chemical permeability than PTFE, suitable for the chemical industry.

PVDF

Polyvinylidene fluoride

Highly crystalline fluoropolymer with high stiffness that meets the highest purity requirements.

THV

THV terpolymer

Terpolymer of tetrafluoroethylene, hexafluoropropylene and vinylidene fluoride.

PEEK

Polyetheretherketone

High-temperature-resistant thermoplastic with a melting temperature of 335 °C and high chemical resistance.

PTFE

Paste/emulsion PTFE

Is colored via LiquidC liquid pigments, e.g. for PTFE-insulated cables and wires.
