FIMA Maschinenbau GmbH, headquartered in Obersontheim, develops and manufactures turbomachinery for industrial processes: single- and multi-stage centrifugal compressors (process gas, process air, vapor recompression), hermetically sealed fans and compressors (HETICO, MACOUCO), centrifugal fans for process gas, exhaust gas, flue gas and fresh air, as well as explosion-proof fans for zones 0, 1, 2, 21 and 22. In addition, the company produces high-stress impellers and rotors in semi-open and closed designs in all steels and alloys, manufactured by certified welding specialists. Development includes CFD flow simulation, strength calculations, modal analysis, sound measurements and control technology; an in-house test field for fans and compressors has been available since 2008. In addition to new machines, FIMA offers spare parts in original equipment manufacturer quality, repairs, modernizations, commissioning and maintenance contracts through its Lifecycle Service. Customers include, among others, refineries, the chemical and petrochemical industry, oil and gas, iron and steel industry, energy supply, pharmaceuticals and the food industry. The company is represented with subsidiaries and locations in China, India, Turkey and Brazil and delivers worldwide.
