About FIMETEC

FIMETEC GmbH, based in Willstätt-Legelshurst, manufactures radiation shielding solutions, special constructions and complex welded assemblies for plant and fixture engineering. The portfolio includes shielding against gamma, beta, X-ray and neutron radiation made of lead, low-activity lead, boron carbide and HDPE, mobile heavy-duty containers, measurement and laboratory containers, exhaust air, ventilation and filter systems as well as traverse systems and steel constructions. Production is carried out using certified welding processes (TIG 141, MAG 135, orbital) on carbon steel, stainless steel, pure nickel, nickel-based materials and aluminium, among others in accordance with EN 1090-2 in execution class EXC3. Manufacturing is complemented by weld seam inspections (VT, MT), mobile 3D scanning, reverse engineering and lead take-back with recycling within the company's own production cycle. The company was founded in 2022 through the acquisition of the manufacturing division of Hinneburg GmbH, whose roots reach back to 1986 in the nuclear industry. Customers come from nuclear technology, research, medical technology, materials testing, safety technology and industry.
