About Fioscope
Fioscope GmbH develops and manufactures air-cooled in-furnace camera systems for high-temperature processes, used predominantly in the aluminium industry. The systems deliver live images from the inside of remelting furnaces and are automatically analyzed using neural networks (machine vision); the results are passed on to machine and process control systems. The portfolio includes cameras for single-chamber and multi-chamber furnaces, tilt rotary furnaces (TRF) and decoating systems. Fields of application include charging, tapping and skimming as well as process optimization of foundry processes. The company works exclusively with its partner firm RIA Cast House Engineering GmbH and has implemented more than 100 installations worldwide. Camera systems installed more than a decade ago still deliver real-time live images of the melting process today. The company is based in Leipzig.

History
- ca. 2013
Installation of the first camera in an aluminium remelting furnace, roughly five years before the GmbH was founded; the system still delivers live images today.
- 2018
founding of Fioscope GmbH in Leipzig.
Over 100 installations in aluminium remelting furnaces, including single- and multi-chamber furnaces, tilt rotary furnaces and decoating systems.
