About Simon
Firma Simon has been a supplier to the wire industry since 1978 and manufactures drawing dies as well as profile drawing tools to customer-specific specifications. The tools are mainly made of tungsten carbide, monocrystalline natural diamond, polycrystalline diamond (PKD/PCD) and nano-coated variants (NDCD) and are used for drawing wires made of copper, aluminium and steel. The manufacturing process involves precise shaping, grinding and polishing of the dies with tolerances in the micrometer range. In addition to drawing die manufacturing and repair, the company designs and builds special machines as well as carbide processing machines for bore diameters from 0.05 to 80 mm. The product range is complemented by auxiliary items such as grinding pins, calibration pins, carbide blanks and metal semi-finished products. Customers come from wire production, electronics, medical technology as well as aerospace; deliveries are made worldwide. Production takes place in Bischoffen-Niederweidbach in Hesse.
