About Wuplo
Wuplo (First Mile Delivery Solutions GmbH) was an express delivery service based in Berlin that sold fresh groceries and regional specialties via an app, a website, and by phone. The service launched in September 2021 with a darkstore in Berlin-Charlottenburg and around 5000 product items; the delivery area covered the entire city of Berlin. Orders were delivered within 10 to 60 minutes, within booked 15-minute time slots, or at a preferred time — compared to two-to-three-hour slots at traditional supermarkets. Delivery was carried out as hybrid delivery using e-bikes and e-vans; live support was available during opening hours via app, website, and hotline. In March 2022, Wuplo partnered with Lieferando; at the end of March 2022, the company ceased operations indefinitely, around six months after its launch. The startup was founded in 2021 by Sergey Schetinin, Ivan Vorontsov, Evgenii Rogover, and Maxim Rogover, who had previously built up the delivery service FamilyFriend in Moscow in 2016.
