About the Fischer Family
Fischer Fermentgetränke GmbH from Schwalbach in Saarland operates a family manufactory for kombucha and herbal essences whose origins date back to 1898. Back then, herbalist Elisabeth Fischer laid the foundation for the family tradition of the art of fermentation: she fermented herbal decoctions with natural vinegar fungus cultures and developed individual recipes in which fermentation not only preserves plants but also enhances their efficacy. Today, the manufactory, now in its fourth generation under Marc Fischer, produces various kombucha series (Classic, Life, Character, Guayusa, No. 1898) as well as herbal essences, bitters drops and syrup. Production is carried out by hand through fermentation according to traditional family recipes; the organic certification DE-Öko-005 documents the ecological standard. The products are aimed at the beverage and natural food industry as well as buyers of herbal and medicinal plant products.
