About FISCHER Spindle Group
The family-owned FISCHER Spindle Group AG, headquartered in Herzogenbuchsee (Switzerland), was founded in 1939 and specializes in the development and manufacture of precision spindles, milling heads and air compressors for fuel cell technology. The portfolio includes milling spindles, grinding spindles, drilling spindles, milling heads and accessories; strategic components are manufactured in-house to control manufacturing processes and ensure quality. The technologies include patented shaft cooling, hybrid precision ball bearings, hydrostatic bearings, air bearings, motors with torques up to 1000 Nm and power up to 440 kW, as well as balancing to G1 class. Customers include leading machine manufacturers and end users, particularly from the machine tool industry, the semiconductor industry and fuel cell technology. The group is present at five sites in Europe, America and Asia and employs around 420 staff. In addition, it offers worldwide spindle repairs of all brands, express repairs and condition monitoring services.
