About Fischer System-Mechanik
Fischer System-Mechanik GmbH is a supplier of precision-mechanical series parts and assemblies in stainless steel, aluminium and other materials to customer specifications. Manufacturing is carried out on CNC machining centres using turning and milling processes, complemented by CNC metrology and the assembly of complete assemblies. The company specialises in small to medium batch sizes including batch size 1 as well as in part families with high variance and strongly fluctuating quantities. The foundation is the synchronous production system according to Hitoshi Takeda, a further development of the Toyota production system, which has been consistently implemented since 1997: it enables inventory-free, kanban-supported production in which 70% of goods are delivered to regional customers daily and on time. Customers come from medical technology, aerospace, mechanical and plant engineering, the automotive and supply industries, and the electrical industry. On 6,000 m² in Durchhausen, 60 employees produce around 1,000 different articles per year on 185 CNC machines, with quantities between 200 and 1 million per article. The company is certified to EN 9100.

History
- 1981
Founded by Reinhold Fischer in a garage with machining, turning and milling.
- 1997
Workshop by Hitoshi Takeda on the synchronous production system; machines converted to U-shaped lines that same night, followed by consistent implementation of synchronous production.
Obtained EN 9100 certification for the aerospace sector.
