Fives is an international industrial group originating in Lille, France, which designs and manufactures machines, process equipment and production lines for leading industrial customers. The portfolio of the High Precision Machines division comprises CNC machining centers (milling, turning, mill/turn, boring mills), robotics, automation, precision and ultra-precision grinding machines, laser cutting and laser welding systems, metal 3D printing (subsidiary AddUp), composite manufacturing as well as filling and sealing equipment. Materials machined include aluminium, steel, titanium and fiber composites; the Contract Machining Services division manufactures contract parts for special, large and prototype components. In addition, the value creation includes engineering services, quality inspection, machine calibration as well as maintenance, retrofit and rebuild across the entire equipment lifecycle. The group is organized into three activities: High Precision Machines (around 1,700 employees), Process Industries and Smart Automation Solutions. With more than 100 sites in 25 countries, 8,500 employees and EUR 2,143 million in revenue, Fives serves industries ranging from aerospace, defense and automotive to steel, cement, glass and intralogistics.
