About Fixatti
Fixatti is a specialized manufacturer of adhesive powders (hotmelt powders) on a polymer base, used mainly for hot lamination in automotive interiors, for acoustic nonwovens, textile and footwear applications, metal coatings and conveyor belts. The product portfolio includes thermoplastic and thermoset polymers such as co-polyamides (Co-PA), co-polyesters (Co-PES), TPU, EVA, PE/PP and epoxy-polyester binders. Production covers the entire process chain: in-house polymerization of co-polyamides and co-polyesters, compounding on twin-screw extruders, ambient grinding and cryogenic grinding with liquid nitrogen, dry blending, sieving to defined particle size distributions and packaging up to big bags and pallet boxes. An in-house laboratory analyzes particle size (laser diffraction, image analysis), thermal properties (DSC, melting point, melt flow index) and chemical composition (IR spectroscopy). Fixatti was formed in 2018 from the merger of Schaetti Coating Technology (Zurich, founded 1957) and Dakota Coatings (Nazareth, founded 1994) and has since been part of the Bostik platform of the Arkema Group. Production and distribution are handled from the headquarters in Nazareth (Belgium), the production and sales site in Shanghai and a sales office in Wallisellen (Switzerland).
