About the Flachglas Group
FLACHGLAS Wernberg GmbH is a glass processing company based in Wernberg-Köblitz (Upper Palatinate) and part of the Flachglas Group with three locations in Germany. At the main site in Wernberg-Köblitz, insulating, safety and special glasses as well as complete glass systems for buildings, rail vehicles and ships are produced on approximately 80,000 m² of production space; around 15,000 m² of glass pass through production daily. The range includes toughening (ESG, TVG), VSG laminating with PVB film or SentryGlas, insulating glass production, screen and digital printing with ceramic inks, sandblasting, lacquering, enamelling, rollercoating as well as surface and edge processing. The Luhe-Wildenau site (Glashandelsgesellschaft Profi mbH) specialises in single-pane safety glass on three toughening furnaces, and the Osterburg site (Flachglas Nord-Ost GmbH) completes the group. Customers come from architecture, façade construction, construction, trade, industry, sanitary applications and the transport sector; references range from the ICE 4 of Deutsche Bahn to The Shard and Microsoft Munich. Long-standing reference projects in Europe and worldwide round off the profile.

Glass types, processes and coatings
Float glass
Base material for insulating glass, safety glass and refined products.
Single-pane safety glass (ESG, DIN EN 12150)
Thermally toughened safety glass for façades, sanitary applications and vehicle glazing.
ESG with heat-soak testing (DIN EN 14179)
Heat-soaked ESG with increased breakage strength for components with safety requirements.
Heat-strengthened glass (TVG, DIN EN 1863)
Partially toughened glass with characteristic fracture pattern for façades and glass roofs.
Laminated safety glass (VSG, DIN EN 14449 / ISO 12543)
Laminated safety glass with film; holds splinter fragments for balustrades, roofs and stairs.
PVB film
Standard interlayer for laminating; also available as printed film for decorative glass.
SentryGlas (ionoplast)
Stiffer ionoplast interlayer for increased structural load capacity in structural glass construction.
Digital printing with ceramic inks
UV- and weather-resistant, fired-in prints for façades and solar protection.
Chrome mirror coating
Corrosion-resistant chrome mirrors as safety mirrors for sanitary applications and doors.
